These are just too cute. I love to make hats to go with my ot here creations. I made a diaper cover and booties in this sort of design so the hat will be perfect. I also made a Minnie purse. With easy patterns like thus, it's a breeze. Thank you for sharing.

These hats are so cute! I love making baby hats because they are so quick and usually fairly easy patterns to follow. My husband and I are trying to get pregnant, and either of these hats is a great option for a photo shoot! I would also consider making them in bigger sizes, for children and adults!

If I wasnt a charter member of the original Mickey Mouse Club, I had to be pretty close. My dad was in Korea for my second birthday, so my mom bought a Mouseketeer cap complete with pink ribbon just like Annettes. Apparently I screamed and refused to wear it for photos. Toddlerswhat can you do? Cant see that much trauma with these wonderful hats.

I made these cute Mickey and Minnie Crochet Hats for my Grand children a few years back. I love the pattern that is well written and easy to follow. The hats came out great and now with a new Grand daughter I need to make these again. For the Mickey hat I made circles in place of the buttons. My ears stood up, I think they stayed up because I sewed them all the way around with the whip stitch giving them a better stay. Thank you for reminding me of this great pattern that I need to make again. I love free crochet patterns.

I started with this pattern and then, as usual drifted out on my own. I wanted something different than the stock image. I still used the pattern but changed colors and added a different bow. Then I decided to make a bottom too. Once I get on a roll it's hard to stop me but that's what's so great about crochet. You can make each project your own.

How many change to form the magic circle. for the Micky and Minnie hats. It doesn't say. Thank you

Really LOVED this pattern! I even made matching booties. Hope you're able to see the pictures that I uploaded. Thanks!!!

I would love to make this for my great granddaughter but I feel that when you sign on to get a "free" pattern you should not have to sign on for other "things" you do not need or want such as having to download another program to print the pattern.

How can you get the ears to stand up? I doubled the ears to give them more substance but they flop down.

I made this for my granson I used pipe cleaners to make the ears stand up I just weaved it around the edges

If someone could get a pattern in preemie size, they need preemie hats as they lose too much heat from heads and hospitals need hats for preemies. Many churches have women who do hats for preemies. Great service project.

I think these would be fun to donate to the younger kids @school.

Can't wait to make. Thank you for this cute set. I found your directions very easy to understand.

I find I can't see anything about making the ears. I didn' t see how many to chain on for top of hat but perhaps "magic ring" will have that figure. Is it 2 skeins of black and 2 of pink for Minnie or black and red for Mickey or 4 skeins for each hat? Or, could it be 2 black and 1 red and 1 pink?

You should easily be able to make both hats with one skein of each color, and you'll have plenty left over.

Ears (make 2): Magic ring, chain 1 12 HDC in magic ring, pull tight, join to first HDC, chain 1 Round 2: 2 HDC in each stitch around (24 HDC), join, chain 1 Round 3: 2 SC, SC in next, repeat around (36 SC), fasten off but leave long tail for sewing onto hat Sew ears between rows 3 and 6 *Make two ears and sew together for thicker, sturdier ears. I did this with the Mickey hat, but not for Minnie.

Loading this pattern caused multiple advertising and programs to open that I now need to go to my control panel to delete them. I really wanted this pattern biut instead I now need to clean up my computer and still do not have pattern.

I love the pattern, you have plenty of sizes, but nothing for a three year old. Can you tell me how to increase the pattern to fit a 3 year old?

I made the Mickey hat for a newborn and was able to make the Minnie hat for a three-year-old by making 12 hdc in the magic ring instead of 10. I then made it the same through row 4. For row 5 I made 2 hdc in the first stitch and 1 hdc in the next 3 around. I made the hat a little longer by crocheting an extra row of hdc's using black after row 9 and another extra row using red after row 13. Use your own judgment on this. I also made the ears a little bigger by crocheting row 3 using hdc around, and a new row 4 making 2 hdc in one stitch and then 1 hdc in the next 2 stitches. It fits perfectly and my little niece loves it. I hope this makes sense.

I have made several ofthese for baby showers and they are always a hit. Instead of buttons on the Minnie hats I use sequins with a bead sewed on with clear thread the young Mothers love the bling

Would be great for people going to Disney World in December or January.
