This basket is a really great idea! At least, it would be great if I didnt have cats! Maybe I could use the pattern to fashion a lid to go on it, and hopefully that would help keep the cats out of it. Does anyone have any ideas or tips for making a lid to go with this basket? It would be perfect to keep your works in progress in, or extra yarn.

No matter what size you decide to crochet this box stitch crochet basket, it will be a focal point in your home. This would make a great coverup for any container that needed a little TLC or just use it to store items. I love this box stitch

This is not your ordinary crochet basket. The raised box stitch the designer used to create this does add a lot of texture. The directions state that she also doubled her bulky yarn. I am sure this will be a sturdy basket for whatever you elect to use it for.
