I love color! This Pearl Flower Necklace has beautiful color. Ive never seen crochet flowers made from embroidery floss. Making the flowers stiff with Mod Podge is something I would do to increase the longevity of the necklace. When you work hard on a project you want to last a long time. Especially if its a gift! And this would make a nice gift!

This sweet necklace would look wonderful on a lady of any age! Im definitely making a few up for myself in several different varietiesmulticolored like the example, all daisies, pansies, and violets, just to name a few. Pretty much any small flower pattern would work. However, for a childs necklace, I might swap out the pearls for other colored beads.

Easy to follow pattern and can easily be changed to use the flowers for other jewellery such as earrings, brooches or hair clips. I did try the mod podge to stiffen but did not like the feel so I used a very diluted fabric stiffener instead which made them firm but not over stiff.

I have crocheted, and I have make jewelry but I have never made crocheted jewelry. Interesting concept combining the two hobbies together. I agree with the other commenter that making this monochromatic would push it to another level. There are lots of colors going on in the one pictured. I would wear that only if I wanted to really be noticed.

I have never crocheted onto a chain before, so for that reason I am giving this flower necklace pattern a 4 stars. This pattern is not for beginners, but it really looks so adorable. I have made flowers before. I like to use the Lion Brand Bon Bon yarns. I think a monochromatic look would push this to a more elegant level if you'd like to step it up a notch!
