  2. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hk, sc in next 4 ch, turn – 5 sc. 
  3. Row 2: Ch 1, [sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc] twice, sc in next sc, turn – 7 sc. 
  4. Row 3: Ch 1, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, turn – 9 sc. 
  5. Row 4: Ch 1, sc i n next sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, turn – 11 sc.
  6. Rows 5-7: Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn. 
  7. Row 8: Ch 1, sc in next sc, sc2tog over next 2 sc, sc across, turn – 1 sc dec’d.

Beak

  1. With E, ch 2.

  4. Rows 3-4: Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn.

Hair Bow (Bow Tie)

  1. With C (B), ch 4 (5). 
  2. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hk, sc in each ch across, turn – 3 (4) sc. 
  3. Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn. 
  4. Rep Row 2 until Bow measures 7 (11)”. Fasten off. Sew beg edge to last row.

 
Bow Center

  1. With C (B), ch 3 (4). 
  2. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hk, sc in each ch across, turn – 2 (3) sc. 
  3. Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn. 
  4. Rep Row 2 until Bow measures 3 (4)”. Fasten off.
  5. Wrap around Bow, hiding seam. Sew together on WS. 


FINISHING

  1. Sew Eyes to center front of Basket, with center just above color change. 
  2. Sew Wings at each side with beg-ch edge at top on Large Basket and beg-ch edge at bottom on Small Basket. 
  3. Sew Beaks, Button Eyes, and Bows on using photo as a guide. 
  4. With F, embroider on Eyebrows and Eyelashes using photo as a guide. 
  5. Weave in ends.
