Lacy Days Poncho

"When the cold winter is fading into a warm spring, we all need those “transitional” layers to get us through till summer – light items that can be thrown on in a jiffy when those puffy cumulonimbus clouds blocks the rays of the sun. ☀️ If you see the darker clouds creeping in, don’t reach for another layer, just head inside and crochet! The “Lacy Days” Poncho is easier to make than you might think, but the results are quite pretty! Perhaps the most challenging part are the first few rounds, the neck portion. If you can join your neckline without twisting it, you’re golden. If you are a fan of using foundation half double crochet to start and then join with slip stitch, that is absolutely fine of course – just start with one less chain than called for in the first row. Front and back post half double crochet stitches might not be something you’ve tried before, but I encourage you to give it a whirl, the finished result is worth it. Really stretch out in between the stitches if you need, and tilt your work forward and back to help your “hook hand” work it’s magic. Poncho is available in 6 sizes from Toddler to Adult XL so you'll be able to customize your fit. Gauge given is using size J hook."
