Crochet HookK/10.5 or 6.5 mm hook

    • 731937-0016 Phlox [4 (5) balls]: A
    • 731937-0010 Peacock [3 (7) balls]: B
    • 731937-0009 Spruce [6 (7) balls]: C
    • 731937-0001 White [3 (4) balls]: D
  • US size K-10½ (6.5mm) hook or size needed to obtain gauge
  •  Yarn needle
  • 34" x 34" Color Chart
  • 40" x 40" Color Chart


Gauge
10.5 sc x 10.5 rows = 4" (10.2cm) with yarn held double.
Save time, check your gauge.
Pattern Note: Each block should measure approx 3" x 3" (7.6cm x 7.6cm)


Finished Size
Throw: 34" x 34" (40" x 40") [86cm x 86cm (102cm x 102cm)]


Instructions:
Panel 1
Beg at bottom of chart, using 2 strands of A, ch 9.
Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across, turn—8 sc.
Rows 2-8: Ch 1, sc across, turn.
Note: To complete last sc of Row 8, draw up a lp with 2 strands of A, drop 1 strand of A and pick up 1 strand of C (B), yo and pull through both lps. Cut dropped strand of A.
Rows 9-16: With 1 strand of A and 1 strand of C (B), ch 1, sc across, turn. Change colors according to the Color Chart and cont to change colors every eighth row until you have reached the end of panel 1. You should have 11 (13) blocks.
Fasten off.
 

Panels 2-11 (2-13)
Work as for Panel 1, substituting colors as indicated on the Color Chart.

Finishing
With WS of panels 1 and 2 facing up, whipstitch panels tog through back lps, making sure tops and bottoms of blocks line up properly. Cont to whipstitch panels tog following Color Chart for placement.
 

Edging
Attach 1 strand of B and 1 strand of C, work 1 round of sc around throw, working 3 sc in each corner. Sl st to first sc and fasten off. Weave in ends. Block.
