Arruga Stitch Version (A)
Ch 35.
1st row: (RS). 1 dc in 4th ch from hook (counts as 2 dc). 1 dc in each ch to end of chain. Turn. 33 dc.
2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in first dc. *Scbp around next dc. Scfp around next dc. Rep from * to end of row. Turn.
3rd row: Ch 3 (counts as dc). 1 dc in each st to end of row. Turn.
4th row: Ch 1. 1 sc in first dc. *Scfp around next dc. Scbp around next dc. Rep from * to end of row. Turn.
5th row: As 3rd row.Rep 2nd to 5th rows until work from beg measures 9" [23 cm]. Rep 2nd row once more. Do not fasten off.
Edging: (RS). Ch 1. Work 1 rnd of sc evenly around outer edge, working 3 sc in each corner. Join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off.
Subtle Bobble Version (B)
Ch 32.
1st row: (WS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of chain. Turn. 31 sc.
