Comfy Casual Crocheted Cotton Cardigan

"This cotton cardigan is so comfy and casual, the perfect addition to your fall wardrobe. Great for a stay at home weekend, or to stay warm on those cool fall mornings. It is warm, but not too warm, because it is made from a cotton blend yarn. The cotton yarn gives this cardigan a weight to it, allowing it to hang nicely and wrap you in cozy comfort all day. The Five Cs Cardigan is crocheted in the sedge stitch, which is a sc, hdc, and dc worked in the same stitch, with two stitches skipped in between each group. The stitch pattern gives it a unique texture, a little like a thermal or waffle type stitch. The weight of the yarn and the rich texture make this a great cardigan for a walk through the woods on a cool fall day."

NotesThe body of this cardigan is crocheted in three rectangles that are worked from side to side. Bottom ribbing is worked at the end of each row of the body pieces, using half double crochet in the front loop only. The sleeves are also worked from side to side, with shaping created by working short rows. The collar is crocheted in hdc ribbing after assembly, starting at the bottom edge and working around front opening.
