17+ Radiant Rainbow Crochet Patterns

Rainbow patterns are always so addictive. The bright and perfect combination of colors makes any of these must-makes!

Have you ever wondered where all the colors of the rainbow came from? I find rainbows absolutely fascinating. That's why I created this collection of 17+ Radiant Rainbow Crochet Patterns. There might be the strongest, darkest rainstorm that never seems to end, but then all of a sudden the sun shines and you see this beautiful nature built art.

The colors of the rainbow tend to catch my eye and even though it's only there for a few seconds, I tend to capture a mental picture to remember it. In order to keep that image alive, you can make a rainbow pattern with your crochet stash.

Rainbow crochet patterns are really fun to make because you can obviously choose and use multiple colors of the rainbow. If you're used to crocheting projects with drab dark colors like shades of black and gray then get out of that funk. Find some bright shades of red, orange, green, blue and any other crochet colors you can get your hands on.

You can even crochet a rainbow pattern in the same color using different shades. I think that would make a pretty neat design. Since the spring season is here and April usually comes with showers, we might be seeing quite a few rainbows in the near future. Let's see what great rainbow crochet patterns you can make.

Wearable Rainbow Patterns for Adults

When I see the colors of the rainbow put together in one pattern it just makes me smile. As I said earlier, I love bright colors! When you can wear all those colors of the rainbow in one outfit, it's just so fun. Okay, an entire outfit might be a bit much, but that's what accessories are for (see the last section for those!)

Wearable Rainbow Patterns for Kids

Feel free to mix and match the rainbow patterns above for adults and these for kids as most include alterations for different sizes. Though, I thought I'd create a super kid-friendly section since their enthusiastic and bright nature reminds me of rainbows. Kids are basically human rainbows, aren't they? Make any of these crochet wearables so that your kids can brighten your day even more.

Crochet Rainbow Afghan Patterns

Aside from a real rainbow, the colors of the rainbow would look most beautiful on an afghan or blanket. Crochet a rainbow blanket and display it somewhere for all to see. Get "wrapped" up in all these fabulous colors!

Decorative Rainbow Crochet Patterns

This section is sort of an "everything else rainbow" but there is a theme of sorts. Many of these rainbow designs are for the home or to be used to accessorize your life outside of the typical piece of clothing. I love decorating and wearing accessories covered in bright colors like these. There are even some toys for the kiddos!

What is your favorite design to work up in multiple colors?
