Purple Scalloped Scarf

    • 1536 Purple A
    • 1503 Turquoise B
  • Crochet Hook: 6.00mm [J-10]
  • Yarn needle

GAUGE: 12 sts = 4”; 12 rows = 4” in half double crochet. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.

Instructions:

Notes:
Chain 2 at the beginning or end of a row, does not count as a stitch.
To change colors in half double crochet, yarn over, insert the hook in the next stitch, yarn over with the new yarn and pull through both loop on hook. Continue working with the new yarn. When fastening off old yarn, leave tail 3” tail to weave in.

With A, ch 202.
Row 1: In 3rd ch from hook, work hdc, work hdc in each ch across, changing to B in last st, ch 2; turn– 200 hdc. Fasten off A.
Row 2: Hdc each in st across, changing to A in last st, ch 2; turn– 200 hdc. Fasten off B.
Row 3: Hdc in each st across, changing to B in last st, ch 2; turn.
Rows 4-11: Repeat last 2 rows alternating B and A until 11 rows have been worked, ending with A. Ch 1; turn, slip st in back loop of each st along long edge, ch 2; turn.
Shell Edging: Continuing with A, 4 hdc in first st, *skip 1 st, slip st in next st, sh in next st; repeat from * around entire scarf; join with slip st in first sh. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
