50 Minute Easy Crocheted Scarf

Crochet HookQ or 16mm hook

Yarn Weight(6) Super Bulky/Super Chunky (4-11 stitches for 4 inches)

MATERIALS:

  • Size 6 Super Bulky Yarn 78 yards
    • Model shown in Lion Brand Hometown USA
  • Crochet Hook: Q/15.75 mm
  • Yarn Needle

GAUGE:
Gauge is not important for this project.

NOTES:
It is sometimes more difficult to work with a large hook and bulky yarn because the stitches look different. Make sure that you pay close attention to your stitches so that you can identify where to put your next stitch on the next round.
 

SCARF:
Ch 70, sl st to first ch to form a loop, be careful not to twist the chain.
Round 1: Ch 1, hdc in same st as joining, hdc in each st around, join with a sl st to top of first hdc. (70 hdc)
Round 2: Ch 1, hdc in same st as joining, ch 1, *skip one st, hdc next st, ch 1,* repeat *to* around, join with a sl st to top of first hdc. (35 hdc)
Round 3: Sl st into next ch 1 sp, ch 1, hdc in same sp, ch 1, *skip next hdc, hdc in next ch 1 sp, ch 1,* repeat *to* around, join with a sl st to top of first hdc. (35 hdc)
Round 4: Repeat round 3. (35 hdc)
Round 5: Repeat round 1. (Hdc in each ch 1 sp and each hdc around.) (70 hdc)
Break yarn and weave in ends.
Wrap your beautiful scarf around your neck! You’re done!
