Winter Wonderland Snowman Pillow Cover

Winter Wonderland Snowman Pillow Cover

"Today I am sharing a super sweet pillow cover pattern that’s made using crochet colorwork from a chart. If you have never crocheted with two colors or more in colorwork, this is a beginner friendly pattern. It may just ‘hook’ you into trying more colorwork patterns! The pillow cover is designed to enclose a 12” square pillow form insert. You can purchase these inexpensively online or at a fabric store. You will also need 205 yds of worsted weight yarn for main color, and 65 yds of worsted weight yarn for contrasting color. A size H-8 (5mm) crochet hook is used. The project involves making two 12" square panels, then seaming them together to create a pillow cover. The first panel will be made using either tapestry or fair isle colorwork methods, using a colorwork chart. The second panel will be made from one single color. Each panel is made from rows of single crochet stitches. Feel free to add pom-poms to the corners of the pillow when finished, or embroider eyes/nose/buttons to the snowman if you'd like. Have fun with the pillow cover for the holidays, then continue displaying it all through the winter!"
