Star Mittens

By: Katherine Donahue from katidcreations.com

Use the ever-stylish star stitch to take these Star Mittens from pattern to reality. This intermediate pattern is a great scrap yarn project that uses two colors, a main body color and a contrasting color for pattern stripes. Three sizes of this pattern are provided, toddler, medium adult and large adult, so you can work this pattern up for anyone in your family.

From the Blogger: "These warm mittens are worked using the Star Stitch. No seam is created as you join at the end of each row. Thumb is worked after the main body of the mitten is completed. Cuff is stitched together or you could add a button/loop close instead."

A great project to use up some scrap yarn. Nice thick mittens thanks to the Star Stitch, but not bulky. Do not finish off unless instructed to do so.
