Buttercup Penguin Pal

Buttercup Penguin Pal

"Crochet this penguin pal and add a new handmade stuffed animal to your collection. This was my first time working with Red Heart Buttercup yarn and I loved it! I am going to make more stuffed animals with this yarn for sure. This yarn and Bernat Pipsqueak have become my two favorites for stuffed animals. My favorite things about these yarns are the soft, squishiness (is that a word??) and how well the yarns hide the crochet stitches. When people see the animals I’ve made with these yarns they have a hard time believing they are crocheted – but they are! The only downside to this is that it can be hard to see your stitches while you are working! Stitch markers are a huge help with this so at the very least use a bobby pin to mark the first stitch of each round (that’s what I usually use anyway). Yarn: Red Heart Buttercup – 1 skein each in Pool (MC) and White (CC) Hook: K (6.5mm) Notions: Two 12mm safety eyes, orange scrap yarn (for beak), fiberfill, rice"
