"Make some fun Halloween amigurumi eyeballs with this free crochet pattern. You can use these as little gifts to hand out to Trick or Treaters, hang them up as Halloween decorations, or use them to make keyrings or bag charms. You can use any yarn weight or type for this pattern and adjust your hook size to suit. Just keep to the same yarn weight for each colour. Exact gauge is not important for this pattern. Just use a hook 1-2 sizes smaller than recommended on your chosen yarn label. The size of your finished eyeballs will depend on your chosen yarn weight and hook size. As a guide, here are the approximate diameter measurements of my finished eyeballs: DK/Light Worsted yarn with a 3mm hook = 3.5cm/1.3” Aran/Worsted yarn with a 4mm hook = 4.8cm/1.9” Chunky/Bulky yarn with a 4.5mm hook = 5.5cm/2.2” Chunky/Bulky yarn with a 5mm hook = 6cm/2.4” You will need: Any weight yarn in White (less than 30yds per eyeball), Black, Inner Iris Colour, and Outer Iris Colour (less than 2yds of each). To add optional veins you will also need a small amount of Red or Dark Pink yarn or embroidery thread. A crochet hook 1-2 sizes smaller than recommended for your chosen yarn weight, Toy Stuffing (Polyester Fibrefill), Stitch Marker, Yarn Needle, Scissors. Optional Extras: Thread/string to make hanging decorations or Keyring attachment to make a keyring or bag charms."
