Interview with the Designer - Tamara Kelly

Tamara Kelly from Moogly designed this summer blanket and we asked her some questions about crocheting and blogging.

Q: What skill/technique/project is on your "bucket list?"
A: Years ago, before I started crocheting "professionally," I started this gorgeous blanket from Lion Brand - the Tree of Life Afghan. I got about 1/3 of the way done, and then life happened, and I set it aside... and lost my place! It's always in the back of my mind that one day I will go back and figure out where I left off and finish it.

Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I think my style is modern, contemporary, and approachable. And realistic! As a mom of 3, practicality is almost always a concern too. I love making things the whole family can use and enjoy, as well as things that make me feel special. I love wearing and using the things I've made!

Q: How long have you been blogging? Why did you start?
A: I started blogging about crochet in 2011, as a way to show my finished items, and try to get some sales without having to pay Etsy fees and such - what can I say, I was broke! But it quickly became so much more. Today blogging, designing, and teaching online are my career, and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Now that we've gained some insights about the designer and blogger, we hope you love this summer blanket!
