Chess Square

"Using the corner to corner technique, the Chess Square was designed to be July’s square in the 2022 free CAL on my blog. I have the written instruction and chart on my blog post. You can read more about this square and the CAL in my post on the blog. If afghans are not your thing then in DC it would make an 18″ throw pillow, or you can sew two squares together to create a beautiful tote! There are so many things you can make with an afghan block. I made mine entirely with scrap and part used skeins of yarn SIZING: The pattern is written for a 25 x 25 block using the corner to corner technique. You could also use the graph to create a SC or HDC wall hanging."
