Mickey Mouse Barefoot Sandals

"I wanted a set of bearfoot sandals to wear but wasn't too thrilled with any of the paterns I was finding for free so I came up with these. These took me 2-3 hours to create. I used scrap yarn so the amout you will need is an estamate."

Crochet HookF/5 or 3.75 mm hook

Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

Finished Sizesize 7 1/2 shoe

Materials List

  • Black yarn about 4-5 yards
  • White yarn or thread minimal to tie on buttons
  • Red yarn about 2-3 yards
  • Yellow yarn about 2-3 yards
  • 4 small white buttons

Pattern

Yellow Shoes

Make 2

  1. Ch 6.

  2. 3 sc in 2nd ch sp.

  3. Sc in next 3 ch-sps. 

  4. 7 sc in last ch sp.

  5. Sc in next 3 ch sps.

  6. 3 sc in first ch sp.

  7. Join with sl st in beginning. 

  8. Tie off and weave in ends. 

Red Shorts

Make 2

  1. Begin with a magic circle and ch 2. 

  2. 4 dc. 

  3. Ch 2, 5 dc. 

  4. Ch 2, 5 dc.

  5. Ch 2, 5 dc.

  6. Ch 2 and join with sl st at the beginning ch 2 space.

  7. Tie off and weave in ends. 

Black Face

Make 2

  1. Begin with magic circle and ch 2. 

  2. 15 sc, join with sl st in beginning of ch-1 sp. 

  3. Tie off, weave in center string only. 

Black Ears

Make 4

  1. Begin with magic circle, ch 1. 

  2. 15 sc, join with sl st in beginning ch-1 sp.

  3. Tie off and weave in center string only. 

Black Toe String

In one corner of the shoes chn 10 and attach to opposite corner. Tie off, weave in back side only.

Finishing

  1. Sew together the shorts and shoes. Tie off and weave in. Using the tail string from the face, sew the face to the top of shorts. Using the tail strings on the ears about 6 dc from neck and sew on ears. 

  2. Ankle Strings: At top of ears, ch 30+ (depending how long you want the ties to be)

  3. Buttons: Sew on white buttons to the top half of the shorts. Weave in ends at the back stitches only.
