"The color block knit crochet mittens are so fun to make and feature the split single crochet stitch. It’s a very pretty stitch that give the mittens a knit style look. The mittens are made with medium worsted weight yarn and size I crochet hook. Materials: Size I hook, 5.5 mm. Medium worsted weight yarn in 4 colors Blunt needle Abbreviations: ch- chain st(s)- stitch(es) hk- hook sc- single crochet BLO- back loops only splsc- split single crochet- Instead of doing a sc as normal you will work in the middle of the V part from the previous row and sc, also known as a split single crochet (splsc). This creates a knit style look. splsc2tog- split single crochet 2 together mc- main color Gauge: 12 sts = 4″ "
