"This stitch pattern is made with a double crochet stitch. This stitch is great to use for big items. To be able to crochet the forest stitch you need to know how to crochet a double crochet stitch which is one of the basic crochet stitches or the forest half double crochet stitch. It is also really beneficial to master the double crochet V-stitch as the Forest DC stitch is a variation of the V-stitch. With the Forest stitch, you need to insert your hook in the V-stitch two rows below. That is why you see the long loops in this pattern."

Crochet HookH/8 or 5 mm hook

Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)
