How to Crochet Broomstick Lace Pattern

  1. Chain 17

  2. Row 1: Sc in second chain from hook and in each across (16 sts)

  3. Row 2:
    Part A: Use the knitting needle, working left to right, place last loop of last chain on needle, * insert hook in next chain, yo, pull loop through and place on needle, repeat from * across.

  4. Row 2:
    Part B: Insert hook into center of first 4 loops, holding loops together as one, ch 1, 4 sc in center of loops, * insert hook into next set of 4 loops, 4 sc in center of loops, repeat from * across. 

  5. Row 3: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st.

  6. Repeat Rows 2-3 to complete.

I have always wanted to do broomstick lace but found it confusing when just using written instructions. I love this tutorial video. Kristi does a wonderful job showing exactly what to do and she goes just slow enough to follow her easily. Now I have no doubt that I can do broomstick lace. Thank you!
