Hooded Crochet Vest
Layers are the key to dressing for fall and winter and this Hooded Crochet Vest is a great layer to add under and over other things. You don't want to be too hot in heated buildings but you'd want to be too cold when you're braving the cold outside, so work up this crochet vest pattern and never leave the house without it. We love this bright green pattern, which reminds us of the super hero Arrow. You'll be super prepared for any weather when you layer with this crochet pattern.

Hi revberyl 6499571, we just tried the link and it is working for us. Perhaps there was a temporary outage, or an issue with your internet browser settings? We hope that if you try the link again now it will work. - Editors of AllFreeCrochet

Size large pattern is available for free and the other sizes are available for only $3.69. I have written a couple of patterns myself and know how much time and effort it takes so this price is not much at all and well worth it if you need a different size. I have my own small business and try to support others also because its not easy competing with the business that mass produce items by machine.

This hooded vest looks very comfortable. When I looked up the pattern, it did not have the actual pattern for the vest on that particular post, but there is a link to the vest pattern. I would definitely pick a different yarn color, because this just does not seem flattering, but otherwise this looks like a great item!

I was really glad to see the directions are also given for the large size person. I love articles of clothing that have a hood and there are pockets to boot. By not having long sleeves, this could easily be worn in the warmer months.

Wow! I love that the hooded vest has pockets on it. When I walk the dogs this will be a perfect alternative to my usual hoodie. Especially with the pockets I can stash my doggie treats. I would also proudly wear this anywhere as it is very fashionable.

This is a pretty straight forward pattern to follow. Fairly simplistic for an apparel item, which I like. I don't ever like to be put off by starting something that might be too difficult for me to finish. I can see wearing this during the spring- the color reminds me of new grass and buds on the trees. The hoodie is a bonus to keep off the chill that can still be in the air. The shell stitch is very nice! Thank you for the pattern.

I am sorry you have to resort to posting this designers patterns since there are plenty of truly FREE patterns from good pattern designers out there. I do like her designs, don't get me wrong, it is just if a designer offers a FREE pattern the WHOLE pattern should be free, not just a size small/med/large. I personally will never use her designs.

Actually the FREE pattern is offered in size large only. If you are an advanced enough crocheter then you will be able to adjust this to whatever size you want. If something is offered to me for FREE, I say thank you. If it's something I don't care for or if it's not my size I just move on without complaining. I am grateful to get what I can when something is offered for free.

I am an advanced crocheter, but I also think more and more designers are out for a buck or 2 more than just to educate others and help them. I state this statement only because there are other people who are not as advanced as I am, and Free for one sizing is still not totally free for these people.

That's how the world of commerce works. Their time is worth money and I have written a few of my own patterns and believe me the small fee they charge is well worth the $$$$

Thank you for sharing this pattern. I used Prism Rain Shower yarn to complete my version. I wanted a looser sleeve so did mine with cuffs and v stitches. This was an extremely easy pattern to follow and was fun to crochet. I did end up taking out about 20 rows on the hood because it was way too large. I also adjusted the length by 4 less rows.

I don't wear vests either, but I like the concept. Could sleeve instructions be added to this pattern? Thanks.

I don't normally wear vests, but this looks like something that can be a bit more versatile. I'm thinking about spring days where it's a little cooler in the morning when you definitely want something more on your back and shoulders (maybe even using the hood for windy days) and yet having to roll up your sleeves in the warm afternoon. Just trying to decide if I should try it in a nice bright spring color or something neutral that will go with everything.
