Did she use the Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable yarn for this? or perhaps, the Lion Brand Landscapes? Because it looks like that yarn. So, so beautiful to look at. It really is art for me. Crochet is an art form! This shawl is anything but basic. The yarn is really doing all the work for you. And that long fringe, too. Gotta love fringe!

Just starting this shawl and I am a little confused In video you say use a 5mm hook which is an "H" size hook but the pattern calls for either a K or 6.5mm hook. I have started with the H hook but then switched to a "I" hook, my gauge for 16 sts = 4.50 inches. So should I use the "H" hook. Wouldn't this make my shawl too small? Are the errors in the written pattern posted?

I am very much a visual learner although I do have the ability (most of the time) to visualize a written pattern when Im reading it. Interestingly enough, that ability to spatially manipulate objects is something youre born with and cant be taught. Maybe because of this, I always enjoy watching a video of a project. It usually reinforces what Ive read, or helps me spot errors in the written pattern.

I am using the K it seems like it hangs better than the smaller hooks! I am new to crochet and thought I would try it first before I committed to buying the yarn that I want to use.

I am just about to complete my oversized shawl, however I noticed that my shawl is more diamond shaped than triangle (rounded at the top, not straight across as yours appears to be in the video). I have watched your video several times and reread the printed instructions several times and don't see where I went wrong! I wanted mine longer and am on my 2nd shawl in a ball to make it longer. Please help!

I believe that this pattern should have been marked as beginner or easy. The directions provided are clear and the stitches used are the basic crochet stitches. The video is an added bonus and my only concern is what color to use to make this delightful shawl.

This shawl looks so cute! I would definitely crochet this as a gift for my mom. Since I'm rather slow at crochet, I should start on it now if I want it to be ready for her birthday.

LOVE the colors which are just perfect to wear with a long skirt of mine or even jeans! I love oversized shawls because they are so lovely and cozy warm when wrapped around me on a chilly winters day. I so hope that Lion Branch Shawl in a Ball is available online because I have not seen it in stores here in South Africa and I would love my shawl to be in these colors.
