This scoodie is going to be worked beginning with the hood part first, then working down through the scarf with those cozy pockets! I notice these types of scarves at the store, but how nice to be able to make one yourself and give that hand made gift to your special person. I love this pattern.

Tried this craft? What did you think?

I really need this scoodie. I have seen these before but I think this is the first one with "pockets". This is the ideal piece for me to have during the winter months when I go to walk the dogs. It is important to have their leases handy, hence the pockets are perfect and I can stay warm to. I love this.

I was looking for something like this to make for a niece who lives in the north. She likes to wear a sweater and still wants something for her head and neck. But her big problem is not many sweaters have pockets. She said just for her keys and wallet. This is perfect and if I do it in cream color she can wear it with anything.

On your page, you indicate an H hook and on the pattern page it states an I hook. Which is correct?

I would just say if you tend to crochet with a tighter stitch, use the I hook. If you are a little looser with your stitches go with a smaller hook. I don't think it will matter with this as it's not for any special sizes. I love a G or H hook myself.

Go with the instructions found on the designers blog and use an I hook. The instructions coming directly from the designer would be more accurate, IMHO.

I love these Scoodie-Hooded Scarf with Pockets! The pattern is spot on and I made a few of these but put a little twist one them. I added ears to the side of the hood and made paw prints on the pockets. Using different colors of yarn, I made a woof for my hubby and a fox for my son-in-law. For the grandkids I make cats and dogs. There are so many different ideas you can do with this pattern. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.

Actually, I have never seen a scoodie before in all of my years. Maybe thats because I am in Florida and we dont see much cold weather or have many winter clothing items? This looks like a very interesting project that some of my Northern friends might be interested in.

I think Scoodie is such a fun name but it is also such a clever idea! A scarf that is also a hoodie so your ears are warm and so are your hands? I think it is an absolutely genius invention! Here in South Africa our summer will be coming to an end in a couple of months so I am saving this pattern for my ever growing list of things-to-crochet-in-autumn

I like this 3 in 1 pattern, the scoodie! Too cute and the colors are great. This would come in handy for the winter months and you wouldn't have to worry about carrying a scarf, gloves and hat with you. It's all about versatility and how many ways you can use this project. I think it would make a fun gift for someone as well. This will be on my to do crochet list for sure!

The link worked for me, though I just followed the link to the instructions rather than trying to download. I have so many winter projects and only so much time - I must prioritise somehow!

In case I have seen a scoodie before, I'd probably call it a three-in-one scarf. Now, there's this Scoodie-Hooded Scarf With Pockets pattern which is the official name of this scarf and which will show us how to do this 3-in-1 winter accessory. This is very practical since you don't need a separate mittens to protect your hands from the freezing cold. You can make this to your own measurements and other specifications to make it a comfy accessory these fall and winter months.

So I did my own Scoodie with pockets. I found this awesome yarn at Wal-Mart and crocheted it. I live in MN so I know this will keep me warm.I did change the pattern a bit instead of folding up scarf I made my own pockets and single crochet to the scarf part. It hasn't been cold enough to wear yet but when it is. I know it's going to keep me warm.

I just copy and paste in an e-mail to myself. This works for me.

Can't get FREE pattern! Was it a hoax? Like the look but disappointed so can't give it a good rating.

The complete free pattern can be found by following the link above or you can just copy and paste this http//poshpoochdesignsdogclothes.blogspot.com/2015 == /06/scoodie-hooded-scarf-with-pockets-free.html into your browser to be directed to the pattern. This is not a hoax.

unable to download this awesome pattern , pdf is not supported by windows 10 and Microsoft edge . that is what I'm running how can I get this pattern ?

Try a paper and pencil ?

I am using Windows 10 and PDF's are supported if you have everything set up properly. The easiest way I have found is to use Chrome and the Print Friendly extension. Works every time and allows you to remove all the adds too.
