Hand Warming Crochet Scarf

Not only is this a great free crochet scarf pattern, but it is a handwarmer too! Instead of crocheting mittens and a scarf, this is an all-in-one crochet project.

This is SO cute! I'm going to make it in orange and black (maybe striped) with black pockets, and cross-stitch Jack-O-Lanterns on the pockets (will have to crochet them in sc instead of dc in order to be able to X-stitch on them), to wear all of October to celebrate my favorite holiday. I'm also going to make it hooded using the instructions so graciously provided by dawnshadow. Love the blanket-stitch edging around.

I've made 2 of these now. One is blue with orange pocket and the 2nd is reversed, orange with blue pockets. They are so easy & cute!

this is a great pattern for kids and the elderly, i have metal in my neck and wear a scaf inside the house, this would be nice for when my hands get cold! im 58 and my mom always crocheted. never saw this pattern when i ws a kid...i will make this in a thick white yarn

I love this and I would love to see a hand warming hoodie scarf something for kids and adults.

Polly make this scarf a bit longer, about the amount extra to go over the head, and around the neck before coming down to the gloves. Find the middle of one long side and stitch it shut for about 9-10 inches. Now you have hood, scarf around neck and down to the doubled part for the gloves, it would be warm.

My girls are in their 40ts n 50ts and I made scarves just like this when they were school. They kept loosing their gloves and then I came up with this.....SOOOO NOT NEW

If you really were over sixty years old, you'd know that things and ideas don't have to be new to be good. In fact, those who've been around awhile recognize that some things get better with time. We can hope that will be the case with you. Possibly you'll have developed some quality by the time you're old enough to have kids :) Maybe find somewhere else to troll.

I love this pattern! This is just what I was looking for....I'm making it tonight...Thank You!....
