I have never been a scarf wearer in any season of the year. However the light, lacey pattern here is very attractive and I am considering taking on the project. I think the red color is what really attracted my attention as it is my favorite color. Thanks for the pattern.

I can't tell you how many times in the summer months, I think how I would like to add a little color to my outfit. My mind instantly goes to throwing a scarf on I have made. But till now all my scarves are have been way too heavy to wear in the heat. The first thing that caught my attention was the lacy pattern and then the color which is one of my favorites. As I always do I went to check out the pattern. The designer has a very well written pattern. The plus side is a free pdf which is very appreciated on my part!

So very delicate and pretty. I like the triangle shape. I am amazed to learn that all I would need is one skein of yarn! I haven't worked with a tiny hook in a number of years, but I am sure I'd be able to pick it back up again easily. It's helpful to lay a dark towel or lay a dark colored pillow on your lap when you're working with such small stitches. The contrast will help your eyes to stay focused.

I have never attempted to crochet with lace. However, I love to crochet with thread and I guess these two materials are closely related. I love the picot trim and I agree with the designer, blocking this part of the scarf will be a little difficult but very worth it. Thank you for the free pattern.

Beautiful scarf. Very feminine and I love the fact that it is so lightweight. The instructions are full of pictures and lots of detailed instructions. It doesnt look like an easy project so that will be my little secret. It looks like a very intricate and difficult project and would be very gift worthy for one of my very good friends.

So pretty although I was not convinced about it being labeled Easy so I tried a sample piece and they are quite correct! It is not at all difficult. Even though we are coming to the end of our summer here in South Africa I am still going to make one because it is so gorgeous and I can already see myself wearing it. It is a close friends birthday quite soon too so I will be making a second one because I know she will love it as much as I do.

Im not much of a scarf person, but I think its a great accessory and Ive been looking around for things to make for people (every Christmas). This looks like a great accessory to someones wardrobe. Reading other peoples posts about their difficulty with the pattern worries me a little. Im barely an intermediate level crocheter. That said, this pattern is rated as easy and Id be curious to see how my attempt turns out. I always make a sample first to see if I understand the pattern (this is good to try if you have yarn you dont mind wasting). I know its extra work since youd want to make a product that youll wear or give to someone, but its a good way to save good yarn especially when youre not sure how your product will turn out.

I love the scarf, but reading the pattern was confusing, I have had to figure it out. I wish you would word it differently because I ended up with more repeats at the end. It still worked out for me but it took me awhile I did not know what stitches where suppose to be in the same stitch. Now I am on the border and I can not go by the written instructions. I have to go the instructions of how to do the mesh. I am using size 10 crochet cotton and it looks beautiful so far. I have read other comments . Please help me with this. The begging of the border mesh you said chain 3 then ch 1, dc in same st. Thank you but love the scarf

I loved making this scarf!! The design is lovely and the style compliments everything I wear. Thank you for sharing.

such a lovely light and easy scarf. It will be one of my favourites for years to come.

I was thinking of trying this pattern using cotton, any thing I should be aware of. I have mainly crochet blankets and have decided to branch out to scarfs, tops etc .............Wish me luck and thank so much for sharing your pieces. I will most definitely share my pics Thanks.......is this an Aussie pattern as I noticed the changes for UK and USA,,,,,,

I like the look of this scarf. I have two or three balls of mohair that I think would make this really interesting. It would be light and lacy but a little furry too. I'm also curious to see how I could make this a little larger. I don't know that I would use a larger hook considering the mohair is a laceweight. I would probably just put a few more rows in it somewhere. Guess I need to study the directions a little bit first.

IT LOOKS FABULOUS AND I LOVE THE PLAY BY PLAY ON THE BALL OF YARN AND THE REMAINING 8 INCH TAIL. I ALWAYS LIKE HEARING ABOUT THE DETAILS OF HOW IT CAME TO BE ETC. I WILL DEFINITELY TRY THIS AND I HAVE A BEAUTIFUL FINGERING YARN PICKED OUT FOR IT. NOT SURE OF WHICH HOOK I WILL USE YET.

I really need help with ROW 2 on this pattern. Where is says to complete from to does that include the to repeat as well? Should there be a total of 35 DC Ch2 DC stitches once row is completed? I really want to make this, its BEAUTIFUL! R2 Ch 5 (counts as being worked in the very first sc), turn, sk3 sts, sc, ch3, repeat from 2 more times, sc, ch3, sk3 sts, (dc, ch2, dc) in next st, ch3 repeat 33times, sk3 sts, sc, ch3, repeat from 2 more times, sc, ch3, sk3 sts, dc in final st. Turn work. (35 pattern repeats total)
