Ive only recently started using big hooks and chunky yarns, and now Im wondering what took me so long? This simple project works up in a flash, and being an infinity scarf, can do double duty as a cowlmy new love. The author provides an instructional video as well as photos demonstrating some of the different ways to wear this project.

I am making one of these now. I need a quick gift to make my mother-in-law who is flying in next week for a short visit. She lives in the cold of Ohio and think this would be a nice gift that she can take back with her and use when she is out and about on her errands. The only thing I am changing is the color scheme to sunny Florida colors so she can think of us when she wears it.

I love working with this type of yarn. The finished product is comfortable and warm. During this time of the year, these are perfect for gifts. I made one for my mom and she loved it. I plan on making one for myself next. I like the soft acrylic bulky yarn for these types of projects.

I made this scarf with a size 15 mm hook! Simply because I couldn't find my 10 mm. I thought I would simply use the 15 mm as a kind of "dress rehearsal" for the real thing. However, the scarf made with chunky yarn and the 15 mm hook is very beautiful indeed. It has a more open, chunky-lacy look to it, if that is possible! I gave it to a dear friend from London and it has become one of her wardrobe favourites.

I like the chunkiness of this Classic Infinity Scarf. I give this a 5-star rating for the V-stitch used which, for me is the most appropriate for the color of yarn used. The V-stitch has a very beautiful effect in the finished cowl, you thought the stitch used was something complicated to do. I can't wait to make this infinity scarf which can go with any color of top. This is really so simple but elegant.

I ADORE this infinity scarf - I can't wait to make this for this upcoming winter.

I just needed to come back here and say that I've made a bunch of these as Christmas gifts this year - they're so easy and SO quick to work up!

I am in love with this scarf!! It is a really thick, warm winter scarf that I pull out for the cold Chicago winters. It was so easy to make, too!

I loved making this scarf! I made it in a mustard yellow (perfect for fall and a pop of color in winter) and I made it a little bigger than the pattern said. It's so cozy and keeps me warm in this Illinois cold!

Lots of wonderful comments on this scarf. Thank you

All I want is to print one pattern--the Classic Infinity Pattern by Jennifer Dickerson.....It keeps connecting me with other stuff I don't want.??????

Beautiful Pattern!

Will try this

Homespun isn't the yarn used here, it's Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick. You can try Lion Brand Hometown USA for an acrylic super bulky yarn, but you will be 20 yards shorter than the Wool-Ease per skein. == -patternpavement-infinity.html The pattern uses 1.5 Wool-Ease Thick and Quick. I'd grab 3 skeins of Hometown USA, and if you don't use/want the 3rd, keep your receipt. I personally like both of the yarns (thick and quick and hometown usa) but the thick and quick if it's against your neck and you have sensitivities to wool can start to be itchy after a while (at least for me).

So this yarn is not scratchy around the neck? Does anyone know any, at least in part, other wool yarn that is NOT scratchy on the neck? I have no idea about the suggested yarn. I'm just wondering about more selection of colors. Thanks, Eva

Thank you. And thanks again for the wonderful patterns. I am going to use 2 strands of #2 or #2 and #3 to get bulky yarn will know after I check the gauge.

I would like just the instrructions and not the pictures of scarf. It is hard to copy all of it.

I just highlighted the actual paragraph with instructions and printed just that. Works for me.
