If you're looking for ideas in stores and just can't seem to get inspired, then it might be time to find an easy crochet pattern to create something that is handmade and completely unique. Whether your dad is a pitmaster, a grill aficionado, or just makes a mean grilled cheese sandwich, you'll want to create the Fire up the Grill Mitts. This is a great idea for hubby! After reading the written pattern I wonder if the thumb should be bigger? It only has 7 stitches around. I am going to try this one as written and see how it comes out. I have 2 balls of 100% yarn ( not pink) that I'll use. I'm hoping for the best on this and I think the written pattern should come out great. Don't all men think they are the BBQ King? I so need to get the pink yarn for this one as well. What a great Fathers' Day Gift!! Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.

Okay, I saw this and my first thought was, whos selling Kevlar yarn now? My husband considers himself King of the Grill, so an extra pair of mitts would be the perfect birthday gift for him. Ill probably keep the red and tan/white color scheme as they will be easier to spot in his BBQ drawer. Wonderful ideathanks for finding this one.
