If I did not know better, I would say that this was a scarf made by knitting. The texture looks like the cable pattern design made with knit. I am sure all the men in my life will love to have this to use this winter. At least the one that lives up north where is tends to get a little chilly.

There are so few free crochet patterns for men and most of them are for things like scarves and hats and the occasional sweater. I tend to look over the free patterns for men because they can be so plain. This pattern, however, is very nice and shows a lot of promise as it is not just the plain pattern.
