I love crochet flower projects. I do not think that I have seen a design such as this one before. During my quest last Spring I did see some patterns for Easter egg place mats and I saved the pattern. Having this on the same table will make it just that much more interesting. Thanks for sharing the pattern.

What a simple concept to make such an interesting centerpiece/placemat. Before I read the directions I thought that the petals would be made individually and then attached. It is interesting how the designer decided to create this by adding to the center of the "flower". This would also be pretty in different hues.

I liked the pattern on seeing it, its cute. I quickly became frustrated with how the counts. I'm glad that I've been crocheting for a number of years, and increasing and decreasing come natrually. Had I been new to the craft, Id have probably tossed this and gave up. It states that its an easy pattern, if written properly it would be. Over all, it is cute for spring, but won't be reading anymore of these patterns.
