Wow. So excited about this 50 Beginner Crochet Hat Patterns. There's a wide variety of hats to choose from perfect for gifts to dad, brother, friend, sister, mom, baby. Just have to find time to do these projects.

These are just too great. It's pattern after pattern of wonderful designs. I really like the summer hats. The blue one with the flower is going to be next on my to do list. It's not that hard, takes very little yarn and it really doesn't look like its crochet!

This is a HUGE collection most of which are either Beginner patterns or are Easy enough for an experienced Beginner. Theres such a wide variety of styles, too. Ive either worked many of these patterns personally or taught them as a class or individual project. It would be great if these were all in one downloadable ebook (hint, hint)! As it is, Ill bookmark this page so I can look at each hat later.

I love hats with ear flaps and animal ear hats!

Nice !

The snowboarder slouchy hat is so cute! I will be making that a project this spring

I like the fall harvest beanie

My favorite is a lacy, wide-brimmed sun hat. The one I made of plastic bag yarn turned out beautiful and unique.

I like the look of floppy hats but prefer to crochet beanies, because my crochet experience hasn't been very much.

I like everyone of the beginners hat ,they look so easy to make and would make wonderful gifts to give. God bless you and thank you for this give away .

I love these patterns for beginners. They are so fantastic and there's such a variety of them!

I like the beginning single crochet beanie hat as they are unisex. I make flowers and attach to it for females and stripes for males. They make great gifts but also good for cancer patients and charities.

I like floppy hats. They remind me of spring )

WHEN I was 13 (the 70's) my mom made me a pocho and a floppy I loved that set

Love these pattern collections!

I like the slouchy beanie hat for sure.

I like slouchy beanie hats also.

Although I enjoy crocheting different winter caps for my grandchildren, my favorite cap to crochet is a floppy sun hat!

My favorite crochet hat is a slouchy beanie

I like the summer wide brim hats.

Love the summer hat!

I haven't crocheted many hats since my boys are grown up now. I used to crochet them beanies and long hats that would flop over and hang down with a pompom on the end. Now I want to make a few of the bun hats. That is my favorite style.

I love hats with all sorts of pompoms because they are fun and have lots of personality and they also look youthful. I also like hats in bright and vibrant colors.

I love the hats with floppy brims and flowers for summer ! So pretty and practical!

I prefer beanies

I like the slouchy hats. You see them everywhere.

Thank you for all the wonderful hat patterns.

The beanie

This is probably one of my favorite collections so far! I think I have gone through and saved about 90% of these free crochet hat patterns, and I'll probably make them all! You can never have too many hats, right?

The beanie is my absolute favourite! I mostly love that I can wear them all year round being in a colder climate country it's always a bonus when you find something that you can use for every season. The color possibilities are endless with each design. Really gives you a chance to make the pattern your own ! I even used left over yarns (just some black white greys that I had laying around) good way to get your money's worth

At the top of this article are three images of people wearing hats or a hat. The one on the left, the image of the man holding the child... Which hat pattern is the hat he's wearing? I can't tell just from looking at the patterns and I'm interested in making that hat.

Hi there, It's the Simple Pompom Hat: Thanks! Julia, editor for AllFreeCrochet

So many cute and easy hat patterns in one place. Love this! I'll be making several for sure.

I love when I find pages that list lots of different hats. I have been sticking to beanies, but am always looking to expand my horizons. Does anyone recommend one of the ones listed as a simple one to try?

Hi Lacyreif! I've made the little bear hat for my new nephew and is adorable! I added buttons the center of the ears for a special touch! Perfect gift for a new baby or as a volunteer project for a group - my church is always looking for an easy hat pattern to make for the local shelters! Good luck!

Thank you for all your lovely pattterns. I like theberet hat best and I just finished one for my niece. Now i trying a scarf in the so nice lacy shell popcorn stitches.

I love all kinds of hats to make but I think my favorite is the beanie. You can do so much with it. I have just finished a baby set for a friends grand daughter. Her dad wanted it done in camo and mom still wanted it girly. Good luck to me. I am adding the results here.

Great site

what does break mean in pattern - such as break b

I know no one answered and you probably learnt the meaning by now, but for others here is what "Break" means, Break in a crochet or knit pattern also means to cut off yarn, or to fasten off.

Very nice website. I found this one is also very beautiful for kids. http// == t-pretty-panama-hat-for-girls/

I just discovered this website. It looks wonderful, but- I just printed "Kirsten" the ear flap hat. It took FIVE pages to print. Yowser. Wish I didn't have to waste so much paper and ink. A lot of the stuff wasn't pattern, just pictures and comments.
