This is one of those wonderful projects that can be so easily worked up in parts. I love that the granny itself is only eight inches square. Thats the perfect size for tiny hands. The designer gives the instructions for both the bear and the cat, but you could easily adapt those ideas to other similar critters. This is a nice scrapbuster, too, since such small amounts of yarn are needed for each part.

When a friend asked me to make a lovey for her grand baby I must have looked at her as if she were speaking in tongues! I had no idea what a lovey was. So I looked here and I found several. They are great. It combines the security blanket with a stuffed toy. The young one can carry both in one item to cuddle. I posted a few I made!
