The Sophia Fingerless Gloves

"These beautifully ornate fingerless gloves are perfect for keeping you warm and cozy during the blustery cold weather months! This is an intermediate level crochet pattern written in US Standard Terms. This pattern comes with the tools you need to learn the Celtic Weave (also known as the Diagonal Weave stitch). NOTE: As written, this pattern gives you the instructions for a set of small size fingerless gloves. However, I do provide a sizing chart for larger sizes, so you can easily make them in the size you need. Materials needed: 4 mm hook, 50 grams of Fingering Weight Yarn"

This is such a delicate looking project that they would be just perfect for a wedding. I love how the Celtic weave on top completely complements the shells around the wrist. The designer provides numerous photos to guide the crafter. Not quite step by step but very close. I love the deep purple version at the bottom of the page!

These are very classy looking. They are not the every day scruffy kind. I think they would look great with a fancy out fit. Or even a bride for her wedding. They aren't that hard to make so I want them for my nieces wedding in December. She will love them.

These would be great for costumes, too. One of my granddaughters is into the Steampunk look, and this is right up her alley.
