Daisy Flower Crochet Cocoon

"Using the softest yarn, I’ve decided to make the most adorable baby crochet cocoon and the theme is daisies! I need to surrender to baby crochets, I have the most fun making baby pieces. It’s mostly because crochet in general has always been a hobby for people who make baby clothes and blankets. Whether newly born babies or cute little toddlers, they all look super cute in crocheted pieces. And since fall season is reaching, I decided to make as many cozy baby crochets as I could and share them with all the crocheters who have the same passion as me! And here is the daisy flower crochet cocoon to keep your cute little one warm this fall and winter seasons "

The baby cocoons are just too cute. A lot of work went into this design and it shows with all of the directions provided. From the detailed diagrams to the pictures. This pattern is intermediate but I am sure with all of the help listed in the directions if you are an advanced beginner you will be able to make this.

Of course I just finished the PLANNED Corner to Corner for the newest baby, and what comes along but this cunning project? What could I do but grab my yarn and hook and set to work. The good news is that the daisy center is working up much better than the pentagon from the designers Star Baby project. Its a close race, but I may be able to get this finished before Baby Jessie arrives later this month.

Now this, this is really original. I will say that I have never seen a baby cocoon like this one, ever! Cocoons are great for baby shower gifts, especially for mom's that you do not know that well (i.e. someone else's girlfriend!) There isn't a single mom who would not simply love to snap a pic or two of their newborn in this cocoon.

I've seen some clever cocoons lately that are actually functional. So many of those photo props are just that--useless in the real world.
