I know this is technically supposed to be a Ripple, but it sure doesnt look like it. To me, it looks more like a star expanding out from the center. The designer has also provided a photo of the project in a solid variegated yarn as well as the patriotic themed version. Changing the colors definitely shows off the beauty of the stitch better than the solid. Dont confine this project to red, white and blue. It would be just as pretty in other holiday colors.

I just can't stop looking at this. It's so pretty. I love the design. I have made seed bead earrings in this pattern. I would like to make a table runner out of this and matching place mats. If I make them in red and green they will beautiful Christmas on the table.

I love the patriotic color theme here on the "Round Granny Ripple Doily". The designer suggests I can make it into a blanket, which I would prefer. I imagine this as a coverlette on the bed. It has a nice simple rustic look to it. Plus, it uses the "cheap" yarn! A cost effective project -)

Why is this called "round granny"? Looks kind of star shaped to me.

Site is temporarily down, you can access the pattern here: http://loveyarn1984.blogspot.com/2012/07/ro == und-granny-ripple-pattern.html

I think this is really cute but I hate it when I go to the pattern and its on a blog and there is no printer friendly version do the pattern. I don't like to have to waste paper and ink printing all the blog comments and ads just to get the pattern. Please tell all your bloggers to include a printer friendly version of the patterns they submit.

I love this

I am having trouble trying to figure out how/what pattern/stitch to use to join these together to make a quilt. I have put the scalloped edge on them.

I wanted to print out the pattern, but had a lot of trouble. Downloaded the pdf file but didn't understand how to get to it once I wanted to print the pattern.
