Crown of Pineapples Doily

This complicated crown of pineapples doily pattern is recommended for crocheters with intermediate or advanced expertise. It is slightly harder than your normal doily, but its intricate, beautiful pattern definitely makes up for the hard work you might have to do.

How can you make it when you can print it! I've never been at a site so frustrating.

I'm saving this pattern until I am at the skill level to make it. It's beautiful! It reminds me of the pineapple doilies my grandmother and aunt used to make. Thanks for posting.

There are a couple of tricks to printing these patterns. One is to select the pattern text and the picture and then hit Print, print selection and OK. The other trick I use, and I can save it for later doing it this way, is to copy and paste the pattern and picture into a Word document and print it from there. Good luck.

I do this also. I have many patterns saved this way so I can make them later.

This site is beyond aggravating!!! Give me the pattern if it's free! Why do I have to waste paper and ink on bull*** unrelated to the pattern?

You can send me your email address and I will send you the pattern. It isn't a problem for me, and I'd be glad to help you out. BeenThere@clearwire.net

There's a link on the pattern that says "Print Instructions". It opens to a two page print job. How hard can that possibly be?

Click "Print Instructions" - came out to three pages on my printer. Just the pattern. I will say that if you can't figure out how to print it, you probably won't be able to make this pattern. It's rather complicated, unlike printing.

This is a beautiful pattern. I don't know if it is only patterns from this person or whoever that are hard to print without all the other garbage, then the pattern doesn't make any sense....

A very frustrating website- ads galore, too many pop-ups and very difficult to copy/paste. Definitely putting that site on my stay away list.

Am looking for the "Pineapples and Shells Table Topper" pattern which I found in your Red Heart Crochet book several years ago. Have lost the instructions to rows 20 and on. Do you still have that one?

I Got It! I worked a sample with larger thread to see it easier and completed a motif. You do have to slip stitch to the 6th chain stitch when you first start rnd 4. Then it works all the way around. I had to work off 2 loops which would be one dtc. Putting the thread over 3 times makes it a dtc. tc is thread over 2 times.

I started this doily and got up to Round 4. Round 3 ends with a sl st in sc first made. Completes 12 ch 11 loops. Ok I got that. Round 4 starts with a sl st in the 6th ch in the 11 ch loop. That dosen't work. Has anyone else made this doily? should I sl st up to the 6th chain? If I slip st in the 6th chain it makes a bump in the chain and shortens it. Then it says thread over hook 3 times and work of 1 lp, holding 2 lps on hook. Working of 1 lp still leaves 3 lps on my hook. Thats counting the chain 2 st. Round 4 just dosen't make sense to me.

You still have not fixed your web site?? Your patterns can NOT be printed because the ads interfere and cover some of the instructions, Please get it fixed.

@wiersig23 7898107, Go to the page and highlight the text, then right-click on it. You'll get a window that gives you the option to "copy." Do that, and then paste the text into a word document. You should be able print that document that way. --Editors of AllFreeCrochet

I would like to copy the directions for the Crown of Pineapples Doily but everytime I get it up, I get a box up which says the internet exployer cannot show the page and that it has been aborted. The pattern is all there but I can't get it copied. Help!

The way i did a joined crochet is crochet the first TR leaving two loops on the hook then begin the second tr of the 5 this time there will be three loops remaining on the hook (one plus the two earlier) when you finish this way for all 5 TR's there will be six loops on you hook. YO and draw through all six. this is basically a picot. The 4 point trebble is only on the first section because the first trebble is actually the ch-4. so in this case there will be only 5 loops on the hook to draw though.

I joined ALL FREE CROCHET this summer and I expected to be able to bring up the patterns that you send by email all the time and any others that are listed. But each pattern I click on is blocked and I haven't been able to get any of them at my email address. Please explain this to me. I paid money to join and I'd like to know what the problem is. This is supposed to be a free website. You'd better find out what you paid for. Check your account to make sure no one is getting money from you. Good luck.
