Crochet Cross Hatch Stitch Cowl

Crochet Cross Hatch Stitch Cowl

From the blogger: "I’ve wanted to crochet a scarf or cowl using the cross hatch stitch. I found the perfect yarn yesterday in JoAnn. The crochet cross hatch stitch cowl is light and airy — perfect for mild Florida winters. It works up rather quickly; I made the cowl in less than 2 hours. I used a multicolored yarn, but a solid color will look nice, too. If you like this pattern, you may also like my free crochet pattern for the Quick Crochet Cowl. It’s worked in the Tunisian simple stitch and makes a denser fabric than the cross hatch stitch."

I have not made this one yet but it's now on my must make list! I have never done the cross hatch stitch before nor have I heard of it. But, after seeing it and doing it I have to make this Crochet Cross Hatch Stitch Cowl. The picture of the stitches looks to be nice and warm with some air holes so this one will be great to wear. I'm looking forward to making this one. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.

The Cross Hatch Stitch is one that Im not very familiar with although Im willing to bet Ive worked it under another name. I worked up a small swatch, and after a couple of rows, the texture starts to emerge. The designer has provided a large closeup photo which I used for a comparison. Although I was working in a solid yarn, the actual texture did match. I really like this one.

This cowl is so pretty! I love the colors of it. It would make a great Christmas gift for your girlfriends.

How beautiful this cowl is. I so love color. I have seen the Landscapes yarn at the store and the color choices are stunning. If you cannot get your hands on this one, a comparable one is the Boutique Unforgettable by Red Heart. It has such character! Add a simple picot trim row on both sides for a little extra elegance.
