Cute Beanie For Large Dog
"What is more adorable than a dog in a beanie? My dog is very large and finding things to fit her has always been a challenge so I decided to take matters in to my own hands, literally. The hat is made with acrylic worsted weight yarn so it is machine washable. A fun, quick and very easy pattern to make for your furry friend. A big thank you to my beautiful Molly for modelling the hat."

- One small ball of worsted weight acrylic yarn
Instructions
Materials:
- Worsted weight yarn in color of your choice
- 4.5mm crochet hook
- Pompom maker
- Tapestry needle
Abbreviations:
- Ch – chain
- DC - Double Crochet
- SC - Single Crochet
- Slst - Slip Stitch

Note: Ch2 does not count as a stitch.
Make a magic circle -
Round 1: 10DC into magic circle

Round 2: Ch2, 2DC into same space as Ch2. 2DC in each St around. Join with Slst in top of first DC (20 Sts)

Round 3: Ch2. 2DC into same space as Ch2. (1DC in next St. 2DC in next St.) Repeat to end of round. Slst in top of first DC (30 Sts)

Round 4: Ch2. 2DC into same space as Ch2. (1DC in next 2Sts, 2 DC in next St) Repeat to end of round. Slst in top of first DC (40 Sts)

Round 5: (Make ear holes) Ch2. DC in first 12 Sts. Ch20. Sk next 8 sts. DC in next 12 Sts. Sk next 8 sts. Slst to first DC.

Make a 48mm Pompom for top of hat Sew pompom in place. Weave in ends.

I made ties for the hat by making two strings of Ch50 and sewing them to the hat. See pictures for ties placement.
