Warmer Winters

Will you help our needy neighbors? Warmer Winters is an all volunteer, not-for-profit organization whose members make knitted and crocheted items that are given to families and individuals who need these items to keep warm during the winter, but do not have the means to purchase them. These beautiful hand-made hats, mittens, scarves, sweaters and afghans are distributed through local social service agencies.


During the winter of 2010 - 2011 100+ volunteers made over 3,000 items which were gifted to families, children and elders! Upon receiving his Warmer Winter gift, one eight year old boy exclaimed, “This is the first new sweater I’ve ever had!"

I will be sending a box of crocheted item to this charity this year. I will need to start this box soon so I can mail it by September.

I am not that good but love to knit .. I can't follow patterns but have gotten pretty good at afghans and love making them .. wouldn't mind donating them to your cause ..don't have any yet that aren't spoken for but am always finishing one and starting a new one .. if your interested my email is as follows lorieannq59@yahoo.com n you can let me know if you want any of them and can use help with yarn but will always have some from somewhere sometimes my friends will help me get it as I am unemployed so money does get tight

I think I need your zip code!! I will try to look it up but be sure to include it next time .I live in Hawaii but am an avid crocheter. I can't use all the hat, scarves, mittens and blankets I make!! I try to send them to the needy on the US mainland and I will include your group. Thank you for giving me purpose to crochet.
