Did you know you could make a mini crochet throw with just one skein of Red Heart's With Love yarn? This one skein wonder is perfect for newborns, babies in strollers and to use as lapghans for elderly in wheelchairs. If you'd prefer a bigger blanket, it's so easy to do! Just make your starting chain as long as you want and follow the pattern on a larger scale. You will need more skeins of yarn, of course. To make this gorgeous blanket, you'll be using a combination of v-stitches and crochet puff stitches. Don't worry if you're a beginner because Kristi will show you how it's done.

This is the perfect crochet pattern to provide for those projects that the blankets are donated to the local hospitals or homeless shelters. To provide a baby something like this is special and takes almost no time at all to complete.

I am always still amazed at what can be made with a crochet hook and a skein of yarn. The designer was thoughtful when creating this pattern. With a single skein, you can have a beautiful blanket that I am sure any parent and baby would appreciate.

I'm sorry and I don't mean to be stupid and maybe it's this roaring headache I have, but where is the "SAVE PATTERN" button? I just can't see it. Help Please!

Hi reneesimon, The save button is now at the end of the pattern, in the row with all of our social icons. It's the grey button with a little + on it. :) Thanks! Julia, AllFreeCrochet editor

This may be marked as easy but I love the texture in this piece! It just shines through! I have several new ones in my family with parents who would appreciate a blanket like this to tuck around the little tykes in their strollers to keep them warm and cozy. This is a beautiful color but the possibilities there are limitless. I think I'd want to keep to a solid color though to show off the stitch. I'm looking forward to adding a couple of stitches to my repertoire with this pattern too. Thanks!

Im not sure if its me but i think there is something wrong with the instructions and the video. First the written... if you follow row #2 you end up with 2 final stitches, but the instructions read as you having only one left. (again it could be me) Row 3 says Ch 3, turn, puff stitch in each ch 1 space, dc in last st. My issue is What is the puff stitch. There are no written instructions on how to do this stitch. With the video i know there are issues and im not sure why. First off its only 17 stitches, its not explained what the count should be. When i try at 70 and hit row to it doesnt end the same as hers in the video. There is not last 2 stitches. Also the row 2 video she is just doing 2DC in each space not DC ch1 DC. Why is that? This is not the same as the written pattern. Anyone have any ideas? (

This is everything I want in a crochet project. Easy, pretty and doesn't take a lot of yarn. I read thru it and thought, this is way too easy. I can make one in no time at all. It will make a very pretty stroller blankie. Now I just will make the hat and diaper cover and it's a gorgeous set.

First thing that pops out to me after reading the written pattern is there is no special stitch detail. This On Skein Mini Crochet Blanket Pattern uses the puff stitch, but there are many ways to make a puff stitch. With out watching the video, I wasn't sure how to do this one? With that being said, this is a well written pattern and will work up quickly seeing the larger M 13 hook is being used. The easy V stitch row with the puff stitch rows being repeated makes a nice looking blanket. I can see this being used in nursing homes for the cold senior citizens. I think I'll make a bunch of these to donate to the local Senior Center. Thank you so much for this free crochet pattern.

Hi riverrock - our mistake! You'll be using worsted weight yarn. There's only one hook size given: size M/13 (9 mm) hook Thanks! Julia, editor for AllFreeCrochet

Here is a one skein project! Yay! The mint is so pretty for a gender neutral baby blanket, too. If you are searching for a charity project then look no further. It suits the babies and the seniors alike. I like to give these blankets to homeless people around our city. They deserve to have something nice and new, too, don't you agree? Also great charities are your local shelters and PET shelters IE local humane society. Thanks for sharing this pattern.

The video is so helpful. Even if I am familiar with a project, I like to view a video tutorial if there is one so I can crochet along with the narrator. I have worked the v stitch for a while now and it is not too terribly hard to learn. This is a great little pattern when you need a gift in a hurry and dont have time to do more than one skein.
