cannot get any of the videos on this page.

I loved this video tutorial. I have been avoiding this type of yarn because I didn't have a clue as to how to crochet with it. I am now going to make myself a scarf! Thank you Michael.

This looks to be so much easier to find your stitches than the directions for the other brandsof this type of yarn! can't wait to try it! got frustrated with the other way!

The knots in the middle of the skeins have happened to me also. I just fold over the end (I guess both ends a little bit) and knit the two ends together using the pattern stitches. This has worked well for me and keeps you from ending up with a scarf that is not long enough.

Could not get volume on video.

great new technique i may try this one day

I found a knot half way when making this scarf......what do you do?

It is true that the Patons Pirouette has less yarn on a skein BUT THE QUALITY IS SO MUCH BETTER AND IT MAKES ONE BIG BEAUTIFUL RUFFLED SCARF.

Found a knot midway when making the scarf....had to cut it out and start over. NOT happy! Any suggestions on what else I could have done?

I love it...I've been knitting them but I really love to crochet. I'm going to try it today. THANKS!!

Patons Pirouette is sold at the Knitting Warehouse (U.S.) http://store.knitting-warehouse.com/yarn-patons-pirouette.html It's also a dollar less than Amazon, as the yarn comes from Mary Maxim there. It's not fulfilled by Amazon. Hope this helps.

Patons Pirouette is a MUCH better yarn and is HALF the price. It can be purchased at www.wool-time.com You will love it!

Sorry that's www.wool-time.com

OH MY GOSH,AUTO CORRECT, www.wool-tyme.com is the correct web site

Its sold out everywhere. I really wanted to try this! And Patons is half the price because you get less yarn in a skein.

Love it! THX for sharing!!!

I can't wait to try this out. I have ADD and have trouble following varigated yarn stitches, but this doesn't look hard at all. Thanks much

I need to know what size crochet hook to use???

Hi, diazgeo 6979130. Please direct any specific questions about the pattern to the pattern designer (specified in the byline). Thank you! --Editors of AllFreeCrochet

I don't think it really matters too much what size hook you use. It appeared to me that he was using perhaps either a J or K size hook though.

You can use any size hook, I recommend a J or K. I have made several in knitted with a garter stitch or crocheted.

All of the Frill Seeker yarn is on backorder through Mary Maxim.

Try www.wool-time.com and get Patons Pirouette it's half the price and better.

www.wool-tyme.com

This yarn and a couple similar is available thru Mary Maxim-they are listed under novelity yarns

How cool !! I can't wait to make one for my niece. I'm going to amazon now to look for the yarn, I hope I can find it there. Thanks so much for the great tutorial, I would never have thought of this on my own ! I really enjoy your site, thank-you, Jules P.

Thanks for the kind words, Jules! We're happy to hear you enjoy the site :) --Editors of AllFreeCrochet

Hi Smarez 5973340 and pjungk 6710626, it appears this yarn can only be purchased in Canada. I believe you can substitute it with any other kind of yarn found in a craft store as long as it is the same weight.

I want to know where I can buy the frill seeker yarn by estelle. The one that you make the ruffles scarfs. Thank you

Patons Pirouette is way better and half the price...purchase it at www.wool-tyme.com

I love how the yarn ruffles itself, I looked for the yarn at my store here and I couldn't find it. Please let me know where I can purchase it. Thank you, Sally

Hi, Smarez 5973340. If you can't find this yarn in your local craft store, you should be able to easily purchase it online on a website such as Amazon. Hope this helps! --Editors of AllFreeCrochet

Patons Pirouette is better and half the price. It can be purchased at www.wool-tyme.com

Estelle yarn is from Canada. Can it be purchased in the USA?

Hi, pjungk 6710626. You should be able to order it online from Amazon! --Editors of AllFreeCrochet

Where can you get this type of yarn?

Does one skein make one scarf? And did he just do the two rows?

Hi, cce1017 6850520. If you have specific questions about the pattern, we recommend contacting the pattern designer directly. Here is the link to his designer profile page: www.allfreecrochet.com/Crochet-Designer/Michael-Sellick-Bio Good luck! --Editors of AllFreeCrochet

i love this. so esay and i can't wait to try it.

@notarywork 4746171: The yarn used in this demonstration is called Frill Seeker by Estelle. It's best to use a size 9 or 10 needle with this yarn. Hope this helps! -- Editor of AllFreeCrochet

I have absolutely enjoyed watching Mike demenstrate this scarf, I do want to make one. what size needle did he use? where did he find the yarn. All I heard was he got the yarn at Bernate fabric. Where could I find it? Thank you for the lesson. Joan
