When I see sachets in general I think about my Grandmother. She would keep sachets in all of her drawers and when I would visit all of my clothes smelled like her drawers when I got back home. I am not sure if her sachets were filled with lavender or something else but it meant a lot to me to see those little bundles of aroma in the drawers.

This is a practical scrap buster. It only takes a little yarn and each sachet can be a single color. The project is useful to boot. These little beauties can be filled with dried flowers or herbs and strategically placed around to offer up calming, relaxing aromas.

One of our local craft breweries just had a lavender festival last weekend and I bought a gallon sized baggie filled with dried blossoms JUST to work up this project. The bag is very simple and worked in continuous Single Crochet rounds similarly to an amigurumi ball. You just keep going on the straight part and dont work any decreases. If you dont have access to lavender, or dont like the scent, you can stuff your sachet with your favorite fabric softener sheets instead.

These Crochet Lavender Sachets are also great as wedding giveaways. These sachets are filled with lavender scent but you can use another type of scent of your choice. Aside from scents, you can also fill these sachets with something more lasting, probably a hanky, or some kind of a personalized item. I made my own sample sachet for wedding giveaway. I made this in light orange Red Heart yarn but I can also produce the same pattern in any color. Thanks for the free pattern.
