This would be a great way to accentuate a current afghan or throw pattern. By making matching pillows the finished product will be that much more complete. Giving as a gift would be doubly great.

Sometimes it only takes seeing what someone else has used an item for to get inspiration. I love this pillow pattern because of the simplicity of it. The rounds in the flower can increase or decrease depending on your application as well as the colors used. My thoughts is to have a two sided version with small flowers on one side and a single large on the other side.

This pillow reminds me of one my mom worked up over 30 years ago. She was working at a fabric store at the time, so she was able to pick up a number of pillow forms at a greatly discounted price. She wanted something to match her living room, and she wound up crocheting a lace flower very similar to this. The original pillow disappeared long ago, so I may work this one up in tribute to her.
