I love making crocheted flowers, but I love the three dimensional ones the most as they tend to look the most realistic and they look the best for embellishment. I love that this flower is multi layered and I think it is easy enough for a beginner to make, especially since it is such a small project.

I'm soooo excited! I belong to a group of women that for our spring meeting we're supposed to either make a hat or decorate one as part of a fashion show. This made up as it is would be really pretty against a black fedora. I'll also get to add the popcorn stitch to my repertoire. Thanks for making my spring a bit easier!

This is a nice Beginner pattern for an Irish Rose. The designer thoughtfully provides links to how to work some of the individual stitches as well as the complete project in both right and left hand versions. I actually like the solid colored version more than the multicolored, but if youre working this for a specific purpose (like a hat), then the colored version might work better.

I like the layers that make this feel like a three-dimensional piece. It also lets you work in a variety of colors to really give you that blooming garden feeling.

Very good
