If a typical day for you includes running errands and driving the kids to practice after practice (...after practice), then you probably want to travel light. Instead of toting an oversized bag filled with stuff, stash just your essentials in the cute and colorful Textured Crossbody Bag Pattern. The crochet pattern is easy to make and offers plenty of ways for you to customize it. For example, you can use yarn in your favorite colors or crochet a flower that can be stitched on a side. You'll love how quick and easy it is to crochet a bag, too; according to the blogger, you can likely finish this bag in an evening.

I am always amazed at how creative the designers are who make it to the pages of AllFreeCrochet! This little crossbody bag is a perfect example. Creativity with how the bag is worked, and even more creativity in finding the unique findings to decorate the bag. By the way, if you want REALLY sturdy D rings, I found some inexpensive ones at a saddle and bridle shop. Found some nice conchos to use for buttons, too.

Thank you all for the wonderful comments, it makes me so happy to hear you are enjoying making this bag! The link to pattern has moved as I just switched Domains. The new link is https// == 017/08/24/Textured-Crossbody-Bag I will also email the website so they can make the change. Thank you!

I don't think the link posted correctly in my post. This is the new link https// == t/2017/08/24/Textured-Crossbody-Bag

Hi brian, Thanks! I've updated the link above. :) Julia, editor for AllFreeCrochet

The texture of this mini cross body bag comes from the fpdc (or front post double crochet) which works up to look similar to a knit stitch. You will find that once you learn this stitch you probably will be wanting to use it for lots of your cowl neck scarves, sweaters, and even your afghans. This bag is special to me. It is so sweet and pretty for a young girl AND a grown mama!

The flower on this bag really make the purse so special. The size is perfect for a cell phone and house keys while out taking a walk or run. Thank you for this pattern. i will be making this bag very soon.

What cute little cross body bags and, because they are so colorful and look like such fun, I am thinking of making them for all the beautiful young girls in our family. I love the ribbed look and I also have so many left over yarns from previous projects. Also the pattern is rated EASY which I always like as a simple thing to crochet in the evenings after work.
