This is an easy pattern to follow for a beginner but I did have some trouble with front post crochet and had to look up how to do this online but once I got the hang of it I was fine. This is a good pattern if you want to start making amigurumi as it covers basic shapes and joining pieces. IT would make a great gift to have on your desk at work or on the windowsill in the kitchen. You could also add a face by embroidering or using safety eyes to give it some character which I think I will do with my next one.

I love cacti but for the life of me I can't seem to grow them. I kill them no matter what I do with them. I have stArted making crochet ones and putting them in tiny flower pots on my window sills. I didn't have a good pattern for this type but now I do. Thank you for sharing.
