Christmas Reindeer

Christmas Reindeer

"This little reindeer works up quickly and makes a cute gift for the holidays! I provided a photo tutorial for attaching the legs so that the pattern is more accessible to beginner amigurumi makers. In addition to yarn and stuffing, I used 6mm safety eyes, red felt scraps, pink & black thread, and a tiny jingle bell to create my reindeer. Alternatively, you could decorate your reindeer with whatever you happen to have on hand. I definitely suggest embroidering the eyes if this reindeer will be a gift for any young children. If you have any questions on the pattern, feel free to leave them in the comments section on the blog. Enjoy your winter holiday crafting!"

Im very much a traditionalist, but I really find these minimalist creatures very appealing. They are such simple shapes and easy to work up. The fiddliest part is getting the face just right. This actually does take a bit of practice, and theres nothing wrong with using large headed pins to get the placement correct. You can also use a washable marker when youre certain.

One of my least favorite crochet techniques is working in rounds which this project calls for. At any rate, this is too cute not to make. My next project will be to make this for Christmas decoration for 2018. Never to early to get started.
