"The Wobbly Rectangles Blanket was made because I wanted to make a blanket that was worked in rounds and allowed me to use my favorite new way of making V-stitches: the double crochet together (dc2tog). This blanket can be customized to make any size and you can make it wider by adding more rows."

It doesn't get much easier than this. It's such a simple pattern. I think it would make great use of your left over yarn. It would end up being a rainbow design. My grand daughter would say it's a blanket for rainbow pony! Then I just need to make one of those too!

This blanket being made in rounds makes it different from all the other blankets that I have seen. This is a new way to make a blanket. I have only ever made potholders and such in the round before I saw this pattern. Its almost like one giant granny square and very customizable by how many rounds you make to determine what size you want it to be.

When I look at this blanket/afghan I don't know why, but it makes me think of a pet blanket. For me, Super Saver is not my favorite yarn, especially when making an afghan or blanket. I prefer mine with some softness. The 2dctog gives a nice look to the stitch. It's kinda cool how it starts out straight down the center and then works its way around and around. All in all, I think this is a nice basic afghan that should be pretty durable.

I love the look of this Wobbly Rectangles Blanket. After reading the pattern, it does sound easy enough to make, but I do have a question. What is the difference between a double crochet and a standing double crochet? I watched the video and don't see any thing different. What am I missing on this, is it just another name for dc? There are always so many different stitches coming out these days and that is one reason why I love crocheting. I'm looking forward to trying this pattern out and hope it works. Thank you for sharing this free crochet pattern.

This looks like such an easy pattern to follow and do while watching TV and relaxing. I love that you could combine any colors you want to customize this blanket for the recipient or to match your specific dcor!
