This Snow Queen Blanket is the perfect pattern to make for the cold winter months. It's made using bulky yarn, so not only is it warm and cozy to use, but it works up quickly, as well. The lacy shells of this crocheted afghan give it a light and delicate look despite the bulky yarn. You'll feel like a queen as you sit in your living room watching the snow fall.

This Snow Queen Blanket is probably one of the easiest projects to do as shown in the picture. Any one who is starting to crochet will be able to figure out how the stitch used here is done. A veteran crocheter can probably do this project in a lot of colors. Wow. That would be the day. Let's do this.

The pattern for this blanket can be find here http//stitcheryprojects.com/2012/09/08/no-beginnin == g-chain-lacy-shell-afghan/ . The original name of this blanket is No beginning Chain Lacy Shell Afghan so dont stress when you get there because it is the same as the Snow Queen Blanket.

What a beautiful pattern this Snow Queen Blanket is. I love the no chain pattern that is so easy and great for the bumpy yarns. This would make a great throw to add to my living room for the chilly nights or mornings. On my to do list for sure. The pattern is so well written and the pictures are great for anyone to crochet. Ice blue, or purple? What color should I choose? Looking forward to making this beautiful blanket.. Thank you for this free pattern.

The title changes when you click the link to the pattern, but the pictured afghan is the same. I think you'll find that it's the correct pattern. For those that prefer a starting chain, scroll down through the comments and the author gives instructions for starting with a chain in response to a question left by another crafter. For those working with homespun or other similar chunky/bulky textured yarn, you might appreciate not having to try and decipher a starting chain!

Great blanket, but wrong title.. when you click for the pattern, the title reads "No Beginning Chain Lacy Shell Afghan" not "Snow Queen Blanket" as shown on this page. Just thought I'd point that out.
