The initial photograph made me think this had a waffle texture, but after reading through the instructions and looking at the other photos, I can see that it is actually ridges formed by the front and back post stitches. The author has provided a series of close up photos showing the details of the project, too. There is supposed to be a .pdf download available, but the webpage itself is poorly designed and I couldnt find it.

I made several in worsted weight acrylic yarn. I had no trouble with the pattern at all. Gave as gifts and everyone loved them. Easy and quick. Good way to use up partially used skeins.

Very pretty and easy to crochet headband. The only thing I would have included would be the number of stitches should be shown at the end of each row, that would make this pattern even easier to crochet.

Esther, I have tried 4 times to get this pattern to work. starting with row 4 it says, "In 1st sp, (DC, DCBP)" What is sp? there is no sp. Can you clarify what this means. do you go in a space of the ch 2 or is part of the pattern missing. I am an experienced crocheter and usually have no problems understanding patterns. I love the looks of this headband but I think part of the instructions is missing. help!
